ABOUT YOU:
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineering Manager to oversee and manage our cloud infrastructure delivery team. The Manager of Cloud Operations will lead and oversee the cloud infrastructure engineering team, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of the organization’s cloud infrastructure. Key responsibilities for this role will include managing application deployments and creating and reviewing automation scripts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in cloud operations, infrastructure management, and team leadership, with a proven track record of managing and optimizing cloud environments effectively. Demonstrated experience in a Cloud Operations Manager or similar leadership role.
- Extensive Knowledge: Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Heroku) and cloud management tools.
- Cloud Security and Networking: Strong expertise in cloud security, networking, and infrastructure management.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and team management capabilities with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
- Project Management: Oversee, track, and delegate CloudOps projects, and conduct daily stand-up meetings. Assist engineers with blockers and delivery plans.
- Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of DNS and security certificates, and their use in managing websites and securing services.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of cloud infrastructure engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the cloud infrastructure engineering team, ensuring timely and effective completion of projects and tasks. Includes leading daily standups, tracking tickets, and ensuring delivery SLAs are met.
- Project Management:
- Plan, execute, and oversee cloud infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of cloud solutions.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs) related to cloud services.
