Procedure Oversight & Management Office (POMO), a function part of the Wholesale Business Risk in MENAT, has been formed to provide a globally consistent framework and structure to support the ongoing maintenance of policies and procedures as they relate to MENAT Wholesale Chief Operating Office (COO), Commercial Banking and Global Banking covering aspects related to Financial and Non-Financial Risk (Business Risk) on behalf of the Global Banking (GB) and Commercial Banking Businesses (CMB) in MENAT.
We are currently seeking an ambitious UAE National to join the POMO team in Dubai who will work with Global and Regional stakeholder to provide a globally consistent framework and structure to support the ongoing maintenance of policies and procedures within the Regional Wholesale Business Risk team. The role holder will coordinate the implementation of Global Procedures into Region, including policy reviews and impact assessments. They will also be responsible for the creation and implementation of local procedure including the review & challenge of local regulatory requirements in collaboration with Wholesale Business Risk and Second Line of Defense (E.g. Compliance, Credit risk etc.).

Responsibilities:

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL BE INVOLVED IN :-

  • Write, review, distribute and embed new and updated procedures for Financial (E.g. Credit Risk) & Non-Financial Risk (E.g. AML risk).
  • Ability to present documentation in clear, non-technical (wherever possible) language ensuring that it can be understood by colleagues at all levels.
  • Professional approach and presentation, ability to manage a wide range of stakeholders including senior management.
  • Manage and co-ordinate local procedural changes and stakeholder expectation with procedural publications and communications.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to both infrastructure functions and businesses.
  • Provide technical support on the implementation of new policy and procedure requirements.
  • Establish, maintain, track and report on project plans for updates to Mandatory Procedures during the BAU maintenance of Mandatory Procedures and when required over the duration of any project, including the management of risk and issues relevant to regions.
  • Serve as a key contact point between POMO and supporting functions in the implementation process by facilitating requirements gathering, working documentation and traceability back to a log of change requests.
  • Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which you are involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy.

  • Graduation degree is a must – to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit
