Business Regulatory Risk (BRR) function is part of the Wholesale Business Risk in MENAT. The function defines and implements the strategy, change agenda and operational management of aspects related to Financial and Non-Financial Risk (Business Risk) on behalf of the Global Banking (GB) and Commercial Banking Businesses (CMB) in MENAT.
We are currently seeking an ambitious UAE National to join the BRR team in Dubai who will play a key role in the regulatory reporting & relevant governance within the UAE Wholesale Business Risk team.

Responsibilities:

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL BE INVOLVED IN :-

? Supporting the regulatory reporting for the UAE Wholesale such as AECB, BRF, CBRB, etc as well as ad hoc regulatory requests.
? Implementing the regulatory reporting process framework in Wholesale by driving Regulatory Reporting strategic deliverables.
? Coordinating and delivery of the end-to-end regulatory reporting for Wholesale.
? Acting as a subject matter expert for specific regulatory reporting requirements.
? Engaging with the central Regulatory Reporting team and different stakeholders including second line functions to ensure reporting requirements are appropriately met.
? Ensuring effective control policies and procedures are in place for regulatory reporting.
? Driving and delivering Regulatory Reporting status updates to senior management and governance forums.
? Support with Regional engagement related to Regulatory Reporting.
? Ensuring BAU reporting is delivered in an effective and efficient manner.
? Participating in the annual Tax Reporting across the MENAT region for CRS and FATCA regimes.
Requirements

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE, YOU SHOULD MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

? Deep knowledge of data, MI & Reporting with previous experience in reporting, risk management, internal control, or internal audit, preferably within a banking/financial institution.
? Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements issued by the PRA, DFSA, UAE CB or other major regulators in UAE/ Middle East.
? Analytics skills and ability to perceive, organize, and assimilate information, to allow appropriate management oversight or to assist in making decisions/ evaluate gaps. This should include ability to contextualize data into business activities and conclusions.
? Knowledge of banking and financial reporting systems architecture and key functionalities, and experience of system implementation and process improvement projects in a large financial institutions or multi-national corporations.
? Extensive knowledge and ability to adopt a constructive and pro-active approach to changing conditions and/or regulations.
? Ability to form effective relationships and achieve influence at the senior level in the organisation in a pressurised, deadline-driven and complex environment.
? Strong communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
? Proven ability to articulate complex issues concisely and in clear language to audience at all levels.
? Proven problem-solving skills with ability to consider alternative and lateral solutions.
? Broad knowledge of the external environment (regulatory, political, competitors etc.).
? Graduation degree is a must – to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit
