The Mississauga Ontario Health Team (MOHT) is a collaboration of local health care providers from such sectors as acute care, community care, home care, and long term care. JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Mississauga Ontario Health Team is seeking an experienced leader skilled in Process Improvement, Engagement, and system design to join the team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively to deliver on exciting, transformative initiatives, processes and best practices to establish and grow an Ontario Health Team in this community.
The Manager, System Design and Process Improvement will lead staff in the planning, development and implementation of effective engagement, health system transformation, quality improvement, and strategies to support the OHT’s goals and priorities. This individual will be creative and strategic, with a broad range of experience in leadership, writing and presentation, LEAN facilitation and the use of process improvement frameworks. This role will work with other OHT leaders and a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful clinician engagement; patient, caregiver and client engagement; and engagement of broader community partners. This role will support a range of OHT work streams, including digital health, health equity, primary care and others. The ideal candidate exemplifies a commitment to the OHT’s vision and values and demonstrates dedication to a person-centered approach to delivering quality care.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate degree in health care related area and/ engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • LEAN certification (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of experience in progressively senior roles focused on Process Improvement and/or community or stakeholders engagement
  • 5+ years in progressive leadership roles managing staff
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills; excellent customer relations and stakeholder management skills; ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Proven experience in working with complex health structures and programs at multiple levels of an organization, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholder needs
  • Experience creating and developing multiple strategic planning documents,
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Superior analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Results-oriented and client-focused with a commitment to excellence
  • Strong conceptual skills; systems thinking and ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Knowledge of engagement best practices and approaches is an asset
  • Experience in a healthcare environment is an asset
  • Demonstrated experience with various social media platforms and with website development or design is an asset
  • Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills
  • Superior writing and PowerPoint design skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office and Outlook required
  • Travel to partner sites will be required

Responsibilities:

  • Design and lead OHT engagement and process improvement strategies to support key objectives;
  • Develop detailed tactical plans aligned with the overall requirements of various initiatives and work streams;
  • Provide strategic advice and counsel to stakeholders, to support process improvement and engagement objectives;
  • Lead interprofessional project teams and support MOHT executive leadership with engagement, strategic design and process improvement needs, including advising on the design of activities and initiatives to achieve project objectives;
  • Oversee the production of materials including research, writing, editing, and creative conceptualization for various internal and external communication initiatives;
  • Develop and execute innovative approaches to reaching and engaging stakeholders and community members, with a particular focus on populations that have historically been marginalized or underrepresented;
  • Support stakeholder communications and relationships, including recruiting participants for focused engagements and reporting on and escalating issues to leadership;
  • Collaborate across OHT working groups and team members to ensure aligned engagement and strategic plans;
  • Lead presentations and facilitate engagement sessions;
  • Lead development of in-house engagement and process improvement principles processes and best practices;
  • Build ongoing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enable successful achievement of OHT goals.
