Join Varex Imaging, a global leader in X-ray imaging solutions, as we drive innovation in medical, industrial, and security imaging worldwide. With our cutting-edge products, advanced software, and a presence in over 20 locations globally, we’re advancing the industry at full speed.
We are looking for a new team member at our Espoo location to join our talented and highly motivated Manufacturing Engineering team. This is a great opportunity to broaden your knowledge and skills in X-ray detectors.
As a Manufacturing Technician Assembly, your main responsibilities will include prototype manufacturing, assembly, and testing. You will be an integral part of our team, taking on challenging and varied tasks. Additionally, you will participate in the early stages of manufacturing prototypes and have the opportunity to develop and optimize manufacturing processes for production needs.
To succeed in this role, you should have a good understanding of micro-mechanics and electronics, as well as the capability to perform precise assembly of complex detectors with extremely challenging mechanical tolerance requirements. Basic soldering skills are also essential. We offer opportunities to further develop your knowledge and skills through both internal and external training. We work in both Finnish and English.

What we’re looking for:

  • Basic knowledge in mechanics and electronics
  • Hands-on experience with precise assembly work in electronics or a comparable industry (e.g., watch or jewelry making)
  • Basic soldering skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team (don’t be afraid to ask questions!)
  • An agile approach – the prototype team works closely with our R&D department

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manufacturing sub-assemblies and accessories
  • Manufacturing and assembly of prototype detectors
  • Testing and repair of field-returned detectors
  • Problem-solving, testing, and repair of hardware
