Description:
Marketing and Events Assistant
Chevalier College is seeking applications for a Marketing and Events Assistant. The position will be a part-time
permanent role, 3 days per week (45.6 hours per fortnight) during term time.
The Marketing and Events Assistant supports the Marketing and Communications team across all work areas.
As a strong administrator with a flair for marketing, you will support the team in marketing campaigns, event
planning and logistics, and general administration.
As a key member of the Marketing and Communications team, the Marketing and Events Assistant is
responsible for supporting the development and growth of the College’s brand and it’s engagement with the
community through events.

Role Requirements
- Managing priorities to support the work of the Marketing and Communications team,
including, but not limited to, the following:
o Assisting with preparation of engaging designs for a range of purposes including
social media and event collateral.
o Administrative support to College events including logistics, catering, printing, signage,
run sheets, mud maps and general event support.
o Assisting with content on social media platforms, websites and electronic signage.
o Gathering visual content via photography and videography as required.
o Drafting and proofing promotional content.
o Liaising with external providers including design agencies and printers.
o Ordering and maintaining promotional merchandise.
- Provide other administrative tasks/support, for example:
o preparing and proofreading correspondence as required.
o working with images and graphics.
o data entry / database management.
o mailouts.
o filing.
- Undertake and complete professional development, as directed by the college
- Perform tasks to support other areas of the school as directed
- Perform other tasks as required by the Principal or delegate
Essential Criteria
- Relevant experience in an administrative role, preferably in a marketing environment.

- Organisational, planning and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced
environment, dealing with multiple and urgent priorities and meeting timelines.
- Demonstrated excellent ability in the use of a range of software applications including Microsoft Office
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Photoshop and iMovie or equivalent will be highly
regarded.
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills, including the ability to draft and proof content with a high
level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment to achieve shared outcomes
and results.
- The ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders to establish and maintain strong and productive
working relationships.

- Permanent part-time role during term time
- Some weekend and out-of-hours work will be required.
- Salary and conditions will be as per the NSW Catholic Independent Schools (Support Staff – Model B)
Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2023. The position will be paid at Level 3 circa $76,395 plus superannuation
(pro-rata for the days worked per annum).
- This is a child-related position. Preferred candidates are required to possess or are eligible to obtain a
Working With Children Check.
