ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Excellent interpersonal listening and speaking skills
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills; photography skills an asset
• Excellent technical skills, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, Mail Chimp, and WordPress; basic HTML an asset
• Excellent organizational skills and priority management
• Deep understanding of the digital marketing communications landscape, including SEO and Google Analytics
• Self-starter who is happy to provide a first draft, seek feedback, and reiterate as needed
• Sound judgment to drive communications initiatives with excellent skills in stakeholder management, networking, and relationship-building
• Ability to work within teams and existing structures
• Comprehensive market research skills

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, or equivalent combination of training programs in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Technical Writing, and Public Relations
• Accreditation in Communication Management (CMP) or Canadian Public Relations (CPR) would be an asset
• Certification in SEO, Google Analytics, or html would be an asset

EXPERIENCE

• 10 years in a marketing position, ideally B2B, with a track record of generating effective and engaging communication products
• Experience managing a marketing colleague or team
• Experience with architecture and construction industry would be an asset
