Job Description
Reporting to the Director, Category & Marketing Services, the Marketing Manager will develop high-level marketing strategies to support our key categories, as well as work with our key vendor partners to build effective marketing campaigns that deliver results. Working closely with internal cross functional teams and various agency partners, the success candidate for this role will also establish new opportunities to drive sales through targeted marketing initiatives, and will be responsible for recommending and leading marketing programs that best support various fast-growing categories.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A University/College degree in Marketing, Business, eCommerce or related discipline
- At least 7-10 years of marketing experience in the areas of both digital and social media; experience in retail would be a definite asset
- Excellent interpersonal, project management, negotiation, strategic and analytical thinking, problem-solving, presentation, relationship building, and communication skills
- Proficient skills in PowerPoint and Excel
- Strong ability in telling compelling stories that will attract and drive consideration across key customer segments
- Digitally savvy and up to date on current social media and market trends
Additional Information
Responsibilities:
- Identify strategic opportunities to drive sales of our fast growing categories and key vendor partners through targeted marketing initiatives that deliver results.
- Participate in the development of key category and vendor partnership plans that tell compelling stories and foster increased consideration and conversion for both strategic brands and our key categories
- Lead the activation of key category promotions and as well act as key marketing liaise with our strategic vendors and their brands
- Collaborate with key vendor partners and create opportunities that leverage and elevate planned marketing activities
- Work closely with our internal cross functional teams, including Merchandising, E-commerce and Sales to recommend, develop and activate category and vendor partnership plans that will drive traffic and sales to our stores/site
- Work closely with our in-house and external agency partners to plan and execute integrated marketing programs across multiple media channels and touch points
- Glean insights from post campaign results to propose new and improved ways to advance our key categories.
- Work with customer research and social listening tools to garner valuable customer insights to optimize our category plans based on key consumer insights and learnings.
- Other adhoc projects as required
