Position Overview
In support of the Marketing Operations Lead, you’ll help transform and accelerate Sanlam’s MarTech stack, harnessing data for insights, and driving operational excellence. This is your chance to make a significant impact on Sanlam’s digital marketing maturity. By wielding the power of MarTech, you’ll understand how to automate workflows, streamline processes, and empower marketers to focus on what matters most: crafting compelling customer experiences.
Qualification and Experience
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in digital marketing or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role within marketing or technology.
- Knowledge of MarTech tools and a previous track record in leveraging MarTech tools in a large organisation. Marketing automation tool delivery is a minimum requirement.
- Demonstrable experience in contributing to cross-functional teams and collaborating with technology and data departments.
- Relevant experience within the Financial Services and Insurance Industry will be an advantage.

Responsibilities:
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
The Marketing Operations Support role will have the following key responsibilities:
- MarTech Solutions & Integration: Support the setup, deployment, and maintenance of marketing technology platforms and tools, with change management where necessary. Work with the technical and data teams to ensure smooth integration with existing systems.
- Data Support: Maintain an understanding of data collection sources and processes and ensure data is kept safe and current, to ensure the accuracy and reliability of marketing campaigns that rely on it.
- Marketing Automation: Assist in managing marketing automation tools to streamline and enhance marketing efforts across various channels.
- Process Improvement & Efficiency: Contribute to the evaluation and improvement of operational processes. Suggest and assist in implementing automation solutions where possible.
- Project management: Ability to prioritise tasks, manage projects, and work with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines.
- Budget Assistance: Help with budgeting and financial management tasks related to marketing operations.
- Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Continuous Learning: A willingness to continuously learn and stay up to date with the latest developments in digital marketing and technology to support the maturity of the Digital Marketing capability.
