Position Information

JOB SUMMARY/BASIC FUNCTION

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Specialist to help us in our overall marketing efforts. This individual will be an integral part of the development and execution of marketing plans to reach targets from brand awareness to product promotion.
The goal is to deliver effective marketing programs that will stimulate growth and enhance our culture of innovative solutions and partnerships.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting market research to find consumer requirements, habits and trends.
  • Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns.
  • Assist in outbound or inbound marketing activities (content development and optimization, advertising, events planning, etc.)
  • Liaise with the Wildcat Stores team and Marketing Committee to help execute promotional events and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the Wildcat Stores and the WSU Marketing & Communications teams to coordinate brand awareness and marketing efforts.
  • Plan and execute initiatives to reach the target audience through appropriate channels (social media, e-mail, digital displays, etc.)
  • Assist in analyzing marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic, etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies.
  • Generate and maintain content on digital menu displays.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in marketing.
  • Thorough understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as SEO/Social media, etc.) and market research methods.
  • Demonstrable experience in marketing data analytics and tools.
  • Able to grasp consumer behavior trends and generate creative ideas.
  • Well-versed in specialized marketing concepts, principles and tactics.
  • Solid computer skills, including Mac and Windows Office suites, marketing software (Adobe Creative Suite & CRM) and applications (Web analytics, Google Adwords, etc.)
  • Well organized and detail oriented.
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and web development tools desired.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION

Light work. Exerting up to 20 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Use of arm and/or leg controls exerting forces greater than that for sedentary work.

VISUAL ACUITY REQUIREMENTS INCLUDING COLOR, DEPTH PERCEPTION AND FIELD OF VISION.

Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading.
