Description:

Clover Leaf Solutions, Inc. is looking for an experienced Mechanical HVAC Engineer to join our growing team in Greenville, South Carolina. Operating under detailed instructions and review, the purpose of this position is to provide design engineering support to one of our client’s facilities.
This position serves a critical role in overseeing specific administrative processes, providing technical expertise, and guiding project direction within the designated area. Acting as a department representative, the role ensures technical accuracy throughout project execution. The incumbent plays a pivotal role in enhancing Fluor’s competitiveness in the global marketplace by delivering high-quality services and technical excellence. This position takes a leadership role on assigned projects or undertakes engineering tasks of varying complexity.

BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Accredited four-year degree or global equivalent in an engineering field, with at least ten years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in communication with various stakeholders including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge relevant to the job requirements.
  • Ability to understand and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently within established timelines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Semiconductor experience preferred, with expertise in designing cleanroom air handling systems and specialty exhaust systems.
  • Familiarity with scrubber specification, semiconductor-lined ducts, and routing zones in a 3D environment.
  • Professional registration and membership in relevant technical societies preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, material availability, and cost estimation.
  • Experience managing large projects, setting up project controls, progress reporting, and project close-out.
  • Practical field experience preferred.
  • Intermediate computer skills including word processing, email, spreadsheets, and electronic presentation programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and review estimates, schedules, and progress reports, including workforce forecasts.
  • Establish, track, and analyze material key quantities, providing forecasts as necessary.
  • Develop and review specifications and design criteria, ensuring adherence to project requirements.
  • Participate in procurement activities for equipment and materials, permitting, and subcontracting.
  • Perform complex calculations, specify equipment, and solve engineering problems of high complexity.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to other leads as a Supervising Lead, mentoring less experienced engineers.
  • Analyze problems independently and make recommendations aligned with project objectives and guidelines.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned by management.
