Description:
ENGAGEMENT DESCRIPTION:
- Support the development and maintenance of the medical policy repository, including annual reviews/updates.
- Collaborate with the Medical Director on medical policy development and maintenance.
- Assist with the review of JUMP meeting minutes to update Medicare Policies as needed.
- Prepare policies and documents for CRC (Clinical Review Committee) and UMC (Utilization Management Committee) meetings.
- Research CPT or HCPCS codes when required.
- Conduct research on medical technologies for specific cases requesting authorizations on new technologies.
TOP 3 REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
- Familiarity with CMS NCDs (National Coverage Determinations) and LCDs (Local Coverage Determinations).
ADDITIONAL REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong research skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in researching and writing policies (preferred but not required).
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Clinical background or relevant education.
