Description:

ENGAGEMENT DESCRIPTION:

  • Support the development and maintenance of the medical policy repository, including annual reviews/updates.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director on medical policy development and maintenance.
  • Assist with the review of JUMP meeting minutes to update Medicare Policies as needed.
  • Prepare policies and documents for CRC (Clinical Review Committee) and UMC (Utilization Management Committee) meetings.
  • Research CPT or HCPCS codes when required.
  • Conduct research on medical technologies for specific cases requesting authorizations on new technologies.

TOP 3 REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
  • Familiarity with CMS NCDs (National Coverage Determinations) and LCDs (Local Coverage Determinations).

ADDITIONAL REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong research skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in researching and writing policies (preferred but not required).

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Clinical background or relevant education.
