Medior/Senior hybrid cloud C# developer – Pharma (Gembloux – FR/EN)

We’re looking for an experienced C# developer with cloud development experience, but who understands the importance of existing applications and who’s willing to work on both. This position will require you to work on strengthening the technical foundations of existing solutions, but also participate in feature enhancements.
At the same time, you will contribute to the next generation of our software, which is being written and progressively deployed in a full cloud environment – thus, you understand the challenges that counterbalance the flexibility of cloud development, and you include Git PR reviews, branching strategies and automatic deployment in your morning exercises. You will collaborate with our Common Components team, to both put their work to use, and help them enrich and improve their modules thanks to your relevant feedback.

Your challenge:

• You mainly focus on strengthening our existing software solution, making it more robust, thus directly impacting millions of citizens who visit our customers pharmacies daily
• You help your teammates adding new and enhancing existing features to the current solution when the need arises
• You contribute to writing the future by adding features to our cloud platform
• You coach and help your teammates grow in their technological journey to cloud development
• You write, test, document, review and deploy code within a diverse team
• You demonstrate and explain your work both inside and outside of your team

What talent are we looking for:

• You have proven experience and success (3-5 years) as both a desktop application and cloud developer in C# (REST APIs, event bus, etc.); DevOps experience is a plus
• You love deep-diving into issues, identifying their cause, and finding creative yet realistic ways of fixing them; you’re a skilled technical craftsman who also weighs the consequences of their actions
• Next to that you can understand cloud concepts and frameworks; knowledge of Dapr, GraphQL, Redis, Kafka/Conduktor is a plus
• You strongly believe that all forms of documentation and testing are a core skill of every software developer
• You’re a good communicator, and can provide, but also receive, constructive criticism when required
• You know your way around the concepts of CI/CD; knowledge of Azure DevOps is a plus
• You’re not afraid to give a helping hand on the front-end side when needed; knowledge of React is a plus
• You’re autonomous, but also a great team player, considering that each success and failure are a team responsibility before being a personal one
• You speak French and English fluently; Dutch is a plus
