Description:
Amentum is seeking a MK-30 Underwater Target Electronics Technician I to join our team on Andros Island, Bahamas to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) mission. Responsible for performing detailed testing procedures, repairs, modifications, preventative maintenance, and final testing of electrical equipment for the Underwater Target Department on AUTEC.
Position is intended to provide a one-year learning opportunity to develop the required skills to become an Electronics Technician II or locate a more suitable position on project.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year electronics technology experience and two (2) years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite products, with an emphasis on word processing.
- Experience with multimeters, AFG’s and oscilloscopes required.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry 50 lbs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- AA/AS degree in Electronics or associated field preferred
- Equivalent military or industry equivalent may be substituted for degree.
- Digital and analog troubleshooting skills preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed testing procedures to diagnose causes of equipment malfunction.
- Disassemble components and trace circuit continuity through stages of equipment.
- Repair circuit wiring and replace faulty components as required.
- Under supervision, perform authorized modifications, preventative maintenance, and final testing of equipment.
- Install tracking systems in direct accord with NAVSEA specifications and guidelines.
- Maintain a controlled supply area for providing needed assets to the MK 30 Program within the Range Support Shop - MK 30 Targets Program.
- Troubleshoot and repair a variety of electronic systems.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned or requested.
