Description:
CUSTOMER ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Work closely with business owners to identify opportunities and serve as an ambassador for data modelling
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements
- Work closely with cross functional teams of data scientists and business process owners to deliver cutting edge analytic solutions
- Design and deliver enterprise analytic solutions for the businesses
- Work in a highly interactive and team-oriented environment with Data Scientists and Visualization experts
SHAREHOLDER ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Work in a highly interactive, team-oriented environment with Data Scientists and Visualization experts
- Ensure core Bank and source systems, data and metadata is appropriately managed to support business requirements / needs
- Develop and/or design data solutions and conduct reviews of data models and outputs to validate and test quality of information / solutions

- Continuously enhance knowledge / expertise in own area and keep current on emerging trends /developments and grow knowledge of the business, analytical tools and techniques
- Prioritize and manage own workload to deliver quality results and meet assigned timelines
- Support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation, and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest
- Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness and operational efficiency
- Establish effective relationships across multiple business and technology partners, program and project managers
- Participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business units
EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION:
- 5+ years relevant experience
- Solid technical training with a graduate degree in science or engineering such as physics, chemistry, mathematics/statistics, computer science/engineering, Master of Mathematical Finance, or a similar discipline where mathematical modeling techniques are systematically studied and applied.
- Familiarity with PDEs, stochastic processes, and simulation.
- Strong programming skills in one or more widely used languages such as C/C++/C#, VBA, python, Matlab, R, etc.
- Knowledge of fundamental concepts and techniques in quantitative finance or strong interests in financial markets and associated modeling techniques
- Must be a team player with a focus on getting projects done effectively and efficiently
- Good written and verbal communication skills is a definite asset
- Prior knowledge or experience in quantitative finance and counterparty credit risk is an asset but not required
