Since 1991 sequa has carried out programmes and projects of international cooperation in close collaboration with the German private sector. sequa offers know-how and long-term experience in capacity development for chambers and associations (BMOs), vocational education and training, private sector development and trade promotion. The organisation is based in Bonn, Germany. sequa employs more than 100 persons (2023) and reported a turnover of EUR 60 m in 2023.

YOUR WORKING EXPERIENCE

  • More than 10 years of progressively responsible work experience in Nigeria, 5 of which in roles that involve coordination with industry representative bodies and individual private sector companies
  • Experience in the implementation of cooperative training, preferably in workplace learning based on CBT approach (including occupationalstandards and curricula development) as well as compatibility with certification and assessment systems (e.g. NABTEB and NSQF)
  • Working experience with chambers and associations in Nigeria, preferably in the area of TVET

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating the project activities under (and during the absence of) the International Team Leader
  • Establish and maintain effective cooperation between vocational training institutions and selected chambers and associations in Nigeria
  • Maintain effective functional cooperation with the Organised Private Sector (OPSN) to stoke demand and buy-in into engagement in occupational standard development and introduction of SCCs
  • Ensure good interface between sequa and GIZ SKYE
