Network Deployment Engineer (DE).

  • Technical expert in large enterprise network and networking (LAN and WAN in financial/Banking domain) projects, expert in routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), Layer2/3 switching, TCP/IP framing/addressing and expert/excellent hands on experience in network trouble shooting, configuration, implementation and building new large network (LAN/WAN).
  • Familiar with Arista and Cisco Nexus with expert in firewalls (cisco and checkpoint), load balancer (F5 and cisco) and proxy servers.

Certifications:- CCNA, CCNP and other network certifications.

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience hands on deployment of complex data networks.
  • Finalize the equipment list (bill of materials) and solicit vendor quotations for the backbone routers, DWDM hardware, ACI fabric HW (controllers, spines, leaves), monitoring network components (matrix switch, taps, packet capture), any required out-of-band network switches/routers
  • Initiate HW and Maintenance orders as needed and receive/inspect/burn-in the hardware
  • Identify power, cabling and space requirements for the above
  • Identify rack locations for the above and initiate orders for any required cabling, power, or rack upgrades and SW Update according to release mgmt. for the APIC
  • Review OOB network setup for the new spine and leaf switches and Create low level design documentation, including host names, object names, Layer 2/3 interfaces, unicast and multicast routing configuration, etc.
  • Reserve IP subnets in MIRA (IPAM),Create DNS entries,Create network Diagrams in Visio as needed and Provide periodic updates to global project and program leads
  • Participate in weekly project meetings and Develop patch schedule for the interconnectivity, the initial setup will consist of three spine and four leaf switches, plus four APIC’s per data center
  • Completion of Rack and stack at the target destination and Review physical installation of the new HW and cabling components
  • Deploy of the new Regional backbone routers in the 2 Singapore data centers (KCH and DSJ)
  • Reconfigure existing HW such as site backbone routers to connect to the new regional backbone routers and Upgrade the inter-data center links to 100Gb
  • Complete migration to new regional backbone routers and decommission the existing backbone routers
  • Reconfigure existing server farm routers to integrate into the ACI Fabric via compute leaves and complete the migration of routing functionality into the fabric
  • Coordinate the physical installation of the HW and cabling components
  • Bring these components into pre-production status and later into production
  • Raise relevant changes in Service Now, represent in change advisory boards (CABs), and secure approvals
  • Execute approved changes per Global Networks Services standards including pre- and post- checks.
  • Coordinate activities with other deployment teams, such the life-cycle management and data center port provisioning teams
  • Liaise with Network Engineering and Operations during the planning and installation process as require
