ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client is an international organization with a small dynamic office in Geneva. The team is dedicated to providing expert support to their members, managing financial operations, and ensuring the smooth running of their services. They are currently expanding their team and seeking a skilled Finance and Administrative Officer to join them.
This role offers the flexibility to work both from their Geneva office and a bit remotely, and to collaborate closely with your counterpart based in Geneva with the same functions such as their accountants and the Operations director.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Manage the monthly pay run, ensuring invoices meet all requirements and are paid efficiently.
- Handle the invoicing of new members and assist in setting up their payment systems.
- Oversee the invoicing and payment processes for our events and activities.
- up on debtors periodically.
- Manage quarterly accounting and reporting.
- Serve as the liaison for banking, tax, and VAT issues in Switzerland.
- Efficiently and cost-effectively manage external service providers.
- Establish and maintain reporting mechanisms to monitor and share financial updates.
- Ensure strong governance of processes and budget tracking.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders about payment processes and issues.
- Support the Operations Director with annual budgeting.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
We are looking for a proactive and innovative individual with a proven background in finance. The ideal candidate will:
- Possess strong financial and organizational skills.
- Be familiar with and eager to implement financial systems and processes that enhance efficiency.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Have experience with Swiss GAAP and financial systems such as GIT.
- Be fluent in English, with excellent communication skills.
- Be proficient in Excel and accounting software.
- Demonstrate a detail-oriented, collaborative, and solutions-focused approach.
- Be able to work independently and manage their schedule flexibly.
- Have a commitment to confidentiality and integrity.
