Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

The Operations Manager is a key part of the leadership team and is responsible for the successful management of Talent, Production, Procurement, Quality and EH&S. The Operations Manager will regularly collaborate with other key senior stakeholders to develop and execute on corporate strategy. The position will be responsible for managing budgets and ensuring the overall fiscal health and success of the site(s).

EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

This position requires the following knowledge and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience in the graphic arts or printing industry.
  • 10+ years’ experience in prepress, printing, production or manufacturing management.
  • 3-5+ years’ experience in management, operations and leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success of financial management including P&L, forecasting and budgeting.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in EH&S and quality management. Lean/Six Sigma experience a plus.
  • Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES, ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESULTS

Operations Leadership

  • Responsible for the successful day-to-day operations on the Solventum account and development and execution of business strategy.
  • Provide direct supervision to global management to ensure the effective and successful management of all departments.
  • Responsible for monthly business KPI’s including billing, quality, safety, etc., and meeting or exceeding operations budget expectations.
  • In collaboration with senior management, forecast and manage capital and operational budgets for site(s). Ensure the fiscal health of facility by making sound, strategic and responsible business decisions. Support cost savings and opportunity initiatives.
  • Proven ability to lead and guide others through high performance and participative management.
  • Ability to set priorities and delegate as needed based on customer and organizational needs.
  • Oversee continued staff communications through regular facility and department meetings.

Customer Focus

  • Collaborate with Sales to assist with client management. Serve as point of contact for customer issues and provide technical expertise.
  • Communicate customer issues and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints.
  • Work with all cross functional teams to enhance quality of service to Customers with special focus on-time delivery and product quality.

Workforce Management

  • Provide leadership and coaching to direct reports and conduct regular performance development meetings to help foster a high performing and inspiring management team.
  • Foster a culture of trust and alignment with the sgsco’s core values. Promote a culture that encourages continuous improvement, top performance, and high morale.
  • Work closely with Human Resources on workforce planning and budgeting, policy development, legal compliance and performance development. Assist with the execution of all corporate Human Resources initiatives.
  • Ability to manage a large group of people working varied shifts across multiple departments.

Miscellaneous

  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
  • Capable of presenting a broad range of company information/products to internal and external audiences.
  • Partner with other key stakeholders including Operations Managers, Accounting, Quality, and EH&S on the development and execution of special projects and corporate initiatives.
