What You’ll Be Doing:
- Performing repairs requiring a thorough knowledge of pumps, valves, electric and pneumatic actuators, motors, gears, hydraulics, mechanical drives, speed reducers, and other related equipment.
- Analyzing and troubleshooting all types of mechanical and related equipment, making recommendations for repair or replacement.
- Interpreting Operating & Maintenance (O&M) manuals, diagrams, schematics, and prints, and recommending revisions.
- Provides support services to the Region’s Special Project Group to assist with project implementation and the start-up and commissioning of equipment.
- Performs welding, pipe fitting and rigging as required and other duties as assigned.
- Ensure the requirements of the Quality Management System, IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 are conformed to.
- Organizes, coordinates, and works with external contractors while performing maintenance or repairs to equipment, including the inspection of completed work to ensure it conforms to Regional Standards and industry best practices.
What We’re Looking For:
- Secondary School Graduation Diploma with a valid Certificate of Apprenticeship.
- Valid Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) in good standing with the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities.
- Three to five (3-5) years of practical experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, EAM Computerized Maintenance Management System, and other computerized systems.
