Description:
Working as part of the Orthopaedic Practitioner Team.
To be responsible for providing specialist orthopaedic service within orthopaedic outpatients to include casting and splinting assessments and application of treatments whilst working to deliver a high standard of patient care within a multidisciplinary team
- The post holder will be required to lead orthopaedic/diabetic feet outpatient clinics for the application and removal of casting materials and complex orthotics and splints/braces and bone healing systems. This will include a review and follow up service
- To provide a comprehensive orthopaedic casting service Trust wide. To include the emergency department, podiatry, vascular services, therapies and inpatient areas.
- The post holder will continue to professionally develop in line with the British Orthopaedic Association guidelines / the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code of professional standards to facilitate learning and contribute to the professional development of both
