Description:
The HR Regulatory Representative is responsible for providing general HR support to ensure regulatory compliance. This role involves supporting various HR compliance functions, including primary source verification for licensure and credentials, ensuring contract and agency staff requirements are met, assisting with HR policies and procedures, and participating in audits to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
- License and certification renewals as required for the position are verified during the month of the expiration through primary source verification and data is accurately entered in HCM.
- Notifications are sent to leaders and to team members at the beginning of the renewal month and appropriate actions are sent to the leader if not renewed by the expiration date.
- Verifications are maintained in the team member record and available as needed for survey purposes.
- Team member files are examined and analyzed to answer any inquiries regarding license/ certification verification at time of hire and expiration as well as other requirements for a complete personnel record.
- Team members identified as Direct Service Workers are accessed through the DSW Registry at least every 6 months to determine if a finding has been placed against a current team. Any findings are reported to the Director for immediate action.
- Contract agency staff files are initiated at the start for an individual and annually to assure compliance with Joint Commission, LDH, and other regulatory agencies for individual qualifications, safety education, etc. Files are maintained and updated annually; files are available upon request by surveyors.
- Reports are run from payroll system to support the compliance function, including License Expiration report, compliance audits, etc.
- Participation is planned in audits to verify that regulatory and other mandates are met. Audit results are reviewed, and recommendations made as needed.
- Team member questions and problems related to compliance issues are investigated and reported.
- Works with all HR functions to support team member data integrity.
Experience: 3 years HR experience
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Special Skills: Attention to detail, effective communication skills, good problem solving & critical thinking skills and time management/prioritization skills.
