QUALIFICATIONS
- Licensed and in good standing with the CNO
- Experience working with pediatrics
- Current BLS certification
- Vulnerable Sector Check within the past 6 months
- Professional Liability Insurance
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
Schedule:
- Sunday, Wednesday & Thursday
- Night shift
- 8 hour shift
Ability to Commute:
- Toronto, ON M6P 1T8
Responsibilities:
PURPOSE
As a Pediatric Registered Practical Nurse with WeeCare, your role is about more than just supporting the medical needs of clients; it’s also about providing peace and comfort in their homes. While you are expected to administer medical care according to the client’s care plan, we also expect you to serve as a trustworthy extension of the client’s family.
DUTIES
- Administer and document medications as prescribed
- Monitor and maintain the safekeeping of drugs and narcotics
- Maintain child’s records and required documentation in accordance with CNO standards
- Assist the child with personal care, hygiene, and activities of daily living
- Observe and report on changes in child’s condition to parent/guardian
- Assist with ambulation, mobilization, transferring, and adaptive aids
- Demonstrate understanding of child’s needs and maximize abilities
- Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and psychological support to the child/parent/guardian
- Respond to child/parent/guardian concerns and ensure appropriate action is taken
- Assist in maintaining a safe and cleanly environment, including child’s equipment and belongings
- Notify supervisor of any concerns impacting child’s safety
- Complete all other tasks as assigned
