JOB SUMMARY :
- Evidence-based assessment and rehabilitation services
- Vestibular rehabilitation assessment and treatment
- Orthopaedic injury assessment and treatment
- Chronic pain education and treatment strategies
- Exercise prescription and progression
- Group education and exercise circuits
- Making physician referrals and monitoring adherence to medical recommendations
- Balance and mobility training for clients with concussion/head injuries.
- Formal report writing, participation in team meetings, and in person and telephone communication with stakeholders/referral sources
- The Physiotherapist will work in a team that includes Occupational Therapists, Neuropsychologists/Counselors, Cognitive Rehabilitation Therapists, Physicians, and Kinesiologists.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia
- New graduates and Physiotherapists with experience in other practice areas are encouraged to apply as comprehensive mentorship and training can be provided for the right candidate
- Excellent clinical, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize with a focus on customer service
- An interest in vocational rehabilitation and active holistic treatment
- Excellent written and verbal English skills
- A positive and energetic team player
