Platform Engineer – Azure

We are seeking a skilled Data Platform Engineer with expertise in Azure, hands-on experience in Data Factory and Databricks, and a strong background in data modelling.

ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION

• Experience in data modeling to design and optimize data structures ensuring efficient storage, scalability and performance.
• You will work closely with Solution designer to make sure you build an effective and sustainable solution.
• Work will mainly relate to cloud services as Vattenfall use Microsoft Azure as a cloud platform.
• As part of the team you will take part in the development cycle (requirement analysis, design, development, test, deployment, hand over).
• Design, build and integrate data from various sources.
• Write complex data queries and create data infrastructure in a simple and efficient matter.
• Design and develop Power BI dashboard solutions for the business to make it possible to e.g. increase decision accuracy and improve process efficiency.
• Work closely with our business stakeholders with a strong focus on aligning with business and technical requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS

• At least a Bachelor’s within Computer Science or comparable field and you have experience in software development.
• Ability to integrate data from a variety of sources using integration and orchestration tools as Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Strong and experienced in Data Modeling to design efficient and scalable data structures.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-scale ETL / ELT pipelines.
• Well familiar with Microsoft Azure Data lake, Azure SQL database and data warehouse solutions.
• Design, develop and maintain Power BI reporting and self service solution.
• Strong in stakeholder management.
• Self-motivated and self-going.
• Swedish and English is required for this position.PERSONAL SKILLS
