Job Description Summary
Provides strategic guidance to ensure the success and partnership with Pooled Plan (PPA) sponsors and participants. Manages relationships, meets sales goals, and oversees day-to-day sales activities of the client. Develops and executes marketing & business plans alongside advisors and/or clients.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve organic growth goals through strategic plans, marketing strategies, and prospecting.
  • Analyze and update marketing plan for existing PPA sponsors based on client and advisor feedback/needs.
  • Provide training to PPA sponsors and their sales, marketing and client service teams.
  • Provide training to advisors and third party administrators (TPA) on available marketing support and sales processes as required.
  • Conduct ongoing calls to advisors/clients to review prospect and adopter sales activity.
  • Maintain regular contact with contacts/advisors.
  • Manage prospective adopter pipeline for assigned PPA clients.
  • Review current year adopting employer sales and prospect activity, and year over year organic growth with PPA sponsors and advisors.
  • Build and manage detailed business plans for each client.
  • Determine potential new tactics to add value to partnerships.
  • Document activity with PPA sponsor clients, advisors and TPAs.
  • Represent the company at industry association meetings (e.g. NAPEO) and client conferences as required.
  • Attend group meetings and participate annually in a formal training session on PPA client development.
  • Develop and manage PPA relationships post sale; increase plan adoption and assets under management.
  • Keep within budget for client marketing (and events).
  • Assist sales team to generate net new sales.
  • Understand profitability of partnerships and the correlation to firm objectives.
  • Understand and manage broker-dealer driven demands based on partnership agreements with significant product providers.
  • Work with partners to develop strategic initiatives that strengthen and grow the business.
  • Manage detailed reporting to understand the overall business of each strategic and key partnership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Three years of experience in the financial services/retirement industry.
  • FINRA Series 6 and 63.
  • Life Agent license.
  • Knowledge of retirement products and services.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects/deadlines.
  • Proficiency using MS Office and customer relationship management (CRM) tools.

Preferred Qualifications
Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to applicable pay transparency and compensation posting laws. It is estimated based on what a successful candidate might be paid in certain Company locations.
The Salary for this position generally ranges between $75,000 - $119,000 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential qualifications and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
This position may be eligible to earn commissions based on applicable sales incentive plan(s). All details pertaining to the calculation and payment of those commissions are available in the individual provisions of the sales incentive plan that applies.
