ABOUT THE ROLE:

Are you ready to take your career to new heights? Compare the Market is seeking a skilled Portfolio Resource Manager to join our Delivery & Enablement team. In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in managing resource allocation and availability across the organisation, providing insights and guidance to Project Managers, Sponsors, Stakeholders, and the Senior Leadership team.
As the Portfolio Resource Manager, you’ll oversee resource demands for projects, inform on future capacity gaps or conflicts, and offer advice on best practices. You’ll collaborate with leaders to analyse future resource needs, ensuring the right capacity and capability are in place to support project outcomes and overall portfolio success. This role offers a unique opportunity to blend strategic planning with practical resource management to drive impactful results.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Support the creation, maintenance, and governance of the organisation-wide Portfolio Resource Management process and reporting.
  • Ensure consistency, clarity, and visibility regarding capacity across the business for short- and long-term portfolio and project plans.
  • Lead change management initiatives with leaders to enhance effective portfolio resource planning and management.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify the capacity and capabilities required for current and emerging project needs.
  • Develop insightful and critical analysis reports to forecast and address capacity demands.
  • Partner with leaders and other departments to recommend solutions and mitigate future resource demand gaps or conflicts.
