DESCRIPTION

Location - This role is in-person at North Campus Edmonton.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- PhD in agricultural and applied economics, operations research, or a closely related field.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with GIS analysis.
- Prior exposure to land use modeling.
- Proficiency in statistical software including STATA, R, GAMS, and MATLAB.
- Knowledge of simulation and optimization methods and tools.

Responsibilities:
- Developing a model that optimizes land allocation across various uses.
- Assessing the economic, environmental, and social value of publicly available soil data for land conservation, planning, and management decisions.
