The Applied Mineralogy research group is part of the Division of Geology at the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences. The successful candidate will be under the guidance of Professor Ruben Snellings, collaborating within a dynamic and international research team renowned for conducting high-impact research on sustainable construction materials. The group operates at the interface of applied mineralogy, cement chemistry, and materials engineering.

Responsibilities:
- Execute and oversee research activities in alignment with KU Leuven’s objectives and project-specific work plans within designated research initiatives.
- Engage actively within the research group, contributing to regular meetings, group activities, and shared responsibilities, including training sessions and the development of research equipment.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to PhD and MSc students working on projects related to your research focus.
- Offer limited support to MSc-level educational activities.
