Power BI System Analyst

Amentum is seeking a Power BI System Analyst in West Palm Beach, Florida to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) contract.
Under minimal direction, the Power BI System Analyst will implement Microsoft Power Platform to transform raw data into efficient and effective reports and dashboards. The incumbent will utilize problem solving skills to assist financial team and other organizations in developing analytic solutions that drive business decisions. They will also formulate and define systems scope and objectives by identifying user needs and utilizing sound financial and project management best practices. Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret security clearance. US Citizenship is required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• 4 + years of work experience in BI and database development with a focus on Power BI.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or finance.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Certified Microsoft Power Platform.
• Experience with government contracting, especially DoD.
• Experience with Maximo or other work management software tools

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support business objectives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements, define Key Performance Indicators, and translate raw data into dashboards.
• Develop and administer training for internal/external customers and recommend best use policies and procedures as required.
• Utilize Power Automate to develop robust business solutions that automate routine processes and increase efficiencies.
• Develop and implement data models, queries, and stored procedures to support reporting and analytics.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security within the Power BI environment.
• Stay current with the latest Power BI features, best practices, and industry trends to continuously enhance our BI capabilities.
• Understand basic financial practices and terminology to provide insight on best practices for the development of dashboards to provide accurate and useful information.
• Perform industry research of relevant technological advancements/product improvements and study existing information systems to evaluate effectiveness.
• Advise program management team on matters affecting project success.
• Represent the organization in meetings and conferences as required.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
