BIG RESPONSABILITIES
- Conducts all tasks as safety priority.
- Follows all NB safety regulations.
- Perform or assist in repairs in the boiler plant and steam and condensate systems throughout the site. Oversee and operate automated or computerized control systems, such as boilers, conveyors and, pumps, start up and shut down heating plant equipment, provide heating or process for buildings, regulate water and fuel levels.
- Monitor and inspect plant equipment, valves, gauges, alarms, and other instruments to measure temperature, pressure, and fuel flow, to detect leaks or other equipment malfunctions and to ensure plant equipment is operating at maximum efficiency.
- Analyze and record instrument readings and equipment malfunctions.
- Troubleshoot and perform corrective action and minor repairs to prevent equipment or system failure.
- Perform other routine equipment maintenance duties using appropriate lubricants and hand, power, and precision tools.
- Maintain a daily log of operation, maintenance, and safety activities, and write reports on plant operation.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS & ASSETS TECHNICAL KNOLEDGE GENERIC SKILLS
- Possess a valid NB permit according to the boiler and pressure vessels law.
- Power Engineer 4th, 3rd, or 2nd class.
- Ability to work on different shifts (day/night)
