Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Procurement Agent (Mid-Level or Senior) (Level 3 or 4) to join our Sub Tier Management team in Auburn, Washington, Everett, Washington or Portland, Oregon!
The Procurement Agent will provide manufacturing/part processing knowledge and be able to discuss machining and part processing in support of Boeing’s Fabrication Division for all BCA production programs. Your primary duties include maintaining relationships with external companies and internal stakeholders along with project management of work transfers both internally and externally.
In this role, you will be the primary contact with the supplier(s) and will maintain conformance of part quality and deliveries in support of our Emergent Operations statement of work within our Fabrication Divisions, for BCA Supply Chain.
This role requires blending strategic thinking with on-the-ground execution, enabling the organizations to improve systems, business policies, processes and efficiencies to operate as One Boeing Supply Chain. The statement of work includes standard Supply Chain Management functions, data analysis, forecasting, supply and/or demand troubleshooting, and additional duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE):

  • 3+ years of experience in Procurement and Supply Chain processes
  • 3+ years of experience with industry ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) or an equivalent such as SAP (System Applications and Product)
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally as needed

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 5+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in supply chain
  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace or manufacturing industry

TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Mid-Level (Level 3): Typically, 6 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g., Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
Senior (Level 4): Typically, 10 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g., Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides oversight and manages supplier performance metrics for on-time delivery, quality, capacity and financial stability and other key initiatives to support the programs.
  • Collaborate with Global Field Operations and external customers to resolve supplier performance issues.
  • Collaborates with supplier performance teams to develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commodities.
  • Requires Strategic development/strategic thinking capabilities
  • Responsible for driving and cultivating supplier relationships.
  • Integrates program, customer, product and strategies
  • Conducts risk, issues and opportunities management.
  • Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity that require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation.
  • Responsible for overseeing, implementing and daily management of our outside process houses and machine shops as needed to support FAB requirements.
  • Ensure parts are compliant with our processes and procedures through our internal Fabrication site locations, using demand dropped into CMES.
  • Ensure on-time delivery.
  • Communicate and coordinate part status with Emergent Operations and Fabrication manufacturing leadership and resolve order delinquencies working with MPRF’s
  • Proficient in ordering & scheduling within the ERP and SAP systems and uses system data from multiple sources to support FAB schedule requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organization/time management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build positive working relationships through partnership and collaboration
  • Knowledgeable on customer and supplier requirements to support program production schedules and airplane deliveries.
