At Valmet, our P&E VII team is at the forefront of the digital revolution, serving the entire Pulp and Energy Business Line. We specialize in delivering value-added digital solutions alongside our capital sales projects and providing remote expert support to our installed base through the Valmet Performance Center. Our cutting-edge online data and analytics tools empower customers to achieve faster troubleshooting, optimized processes, and enhanced reliability.
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Product Manager to elevate the integration of digital solutions within our capital projects. In this role, you will collaborate closely with sales teams, product teams and area sales team globally. You will play a key role in driving the sales portfolio, engaging with customers, and developing digital solutions tailored to their needs. Your ability to connect key stakeholders will ensure the delivery of unified, customer-centric, and competitive digital solutions that support the efficient operation of our customers’ plants and mills.
While you won’t have direct subordinates, you will work alongside sales professionals, technical experts, and product owners across various pulp technologies. You will report to the Manager of Pulp & Energy, Valmet Industrial Internet. The position is based in Tampere, Finland.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide attractive digital solutions to add value to our P&E capital sales projects
  • Follow-up on the Pulp and Energy sales portfolio and ensure that Industrial Internet is promoted in each case.
  • Build the offering together with related Valmet product teams from different Business Units
  • Work with area sales to understand the customer needs
  • Support main sales in commercial negotiations from digital perspective

Skills and qualifications:

  • Relevant University degree
  • Understanding of pulp customers and their key processes
  • Ambition in driving sales and serving customers
  • Excellent presentation skills in front of customers, sales and executive audiences
  • Interest to promote and learn about digitalization
  • Good networking skills to work with different cultures
  • Fluent in English; understanding Finnish, Swedish or Portuguese is a plus
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 20%
