Product & Process Engineer

If yes, you might be the person we are looking for!We are looking for a Process/Product Engineer to strengthen our engineering team. Engineering team has the overall technical responsibility of the product lines, including standard product technical ownership. In this position, you will work in close co-operation with our client who is the world’s leading provider of integrated water and waste management systems, as well as corrosion-protection systems, for the marine, offshore, and building industries. You will focus mainly on our novel HydroTreat product, a game changing HTC based system for processing waste into useful biochar. You will report to Manager, Product Engineering and have a highly interesting and versatile key role in developing clients business and designing its future solutions. This position located in Espoo, Finland.Responsibilities:
Assist in product development projects and ensure they are professionally handled and documented
Technical responsibility of the wet waste treatment products, including standard product technical ownership
Continuous improvement, updates and development of standard systems and products
Support and work in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, such as lead product engineers, product line managers, sales, delivery projects, and sourcing, to ensure cost competitiveness, on time delivery, and quality of the products.
Keys to success:
M.Sc. or B.Sc. in relevant engineering field (such as process or chemical engineering)
Good knowledge of process equipment such as pumps, valves, piping, heat exchangers, and pressure vessels as well as creating P&IDs
Ability to perform simplified hydraulic calculations and process equipment dimensioning
Experience in wet waste treatment and/or hydrothermal treatment systems is considered an advantage
Experience in product development and/or project engineering
System level thinking - ability to see the big picture and make the system work as a whole
Experience in waste/water treatment is considered an advantage
Proactive, well organized, and outgoing team player with a can-do attitude
Full proficiency in English
Ability to travel occasionally
