Responsibilities:
YOUR ROLE
The candidate will mainly focus on supporting their manager in ongoing optimization projects. These projects mostly surround reduction of cost and/or lead time in the outbound transportation network (B2B/B2C) as well as improving operational processes for the transport team. This includes functions such as financial & operational analysis, waste elimination, implementation & tracking/maintaining results. The candidate will also oversee the movement and storage of goods from suppliers to retail outlets. They will oversee the coordination of transportation, ensure timely delivery, and report weekly on carrier performance. This role involves optimizing logistics processes, managing vendor relationships, and resolving any issues that arise during the supply chain. The ultimate goal is to streamline operations and reduce costs while meeting retail demands efficiently.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in end-to-end supply chain projects with tasks such as preparation of detailed project plan, lead time + financial analysis, finding opportunities to improve operational efficiency, create & roll-out successful implementation strategy, monitor/maintain results and quickly address any issues.
- Project streams and deliverables management: lead specific project streams, and own key deliverables, including defining the approach and process. Coordinate process across cross-functional teams to complete deliverables
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations to communicate to internal stakeholders
- Prepare weekly KPIs based on carrier performance
- Create monthly KPIs showcasing opportunities for better cost/operational control
- Audit and process invoices/csv files weekly
- Support Manager and team with ad-hoc analytics and/or internal requests
- Contribute to increasing the efficiency and productivity of the Global Transportation team and find continuous improvement in operational processes
