REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Microsoft Project.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for out-of-town projects.
  • Previous experience as a Project Coordinator, particularly in Sewer and Water, Wastewater Treatment, and Pumping Stations, is considered an asset.
  • ACI or CCIL Certification is considered an asset.
  • Nuclear Gauge Certification is considered an asset.
  • Physical ability to climb, bend, push, pull, lift, and carry objects weighing 40+ lbs as required.

Responsibilities:

JOB DUTIES:

  • Review client specifications and ensure full compliance with all required standards.
  • Prior to the start of the project, create a submission list for construction activities.
  • Act as a liaison between the site superintendent, office administration, and Project Manager for overall project performance, including scheduling, cost, safety, and quality.
  • Manage project activities throughout the lifecycle, including resourcing, scheduling, documentation, budget, and other factors.
  • Provide administrative support to Project Managers.
  • Track, document, and distribute instructions and changes to trades and other parties impacted by the changes.
  • Track project progress and report to the management team via a formal communications plan.
  • Ensure client safety obligations are carried out as per agreement terms and communicate these to the Project Manager and Supervisors.
  • Implement the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) management system at the site.
  • Coordinate all site inspections with subcontractors.
  • Ensure submissions and inspection reports are accurate, compliant, and up-to-date, adhering to contract timelines.
  • Coordinate and complete all on- and off-site testing and inspections as required by operations staff.
  • Verify quality-related site activities in accordance with applicable codes, specifications, and standards.
  • Communicate regularly with client representatives regarding progress and any issues.
  • Plan project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using Microsoft Project software.
  • Complete reports and checklists per company policies or contract requirements, and advise supervisors of non-conformances and deviations.
  • Provide as-built drawings and documentation to site teams and clients.

WATER & SEWER-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate underground utilities, including sewer and water main installations, and work closely with relevant crews.
  • Ensure compliance with project requirements in sewer and water infrastructure.
