Responsibilities:
Our newest opportunity is for a Project Engineer - Waste Management to join our award-winning Sustainability and Environment Division based in Lisbon, Portugal.
This role is responsible for support on Waste Management Policy and Strategy for projects across the Middle East and Europe and potentially further.
We envisage success in this role to include:
- Supporting the waste and environment division on all waste management consultancy projects and bidding.
- Supporting the development of market assessments for waste management, PPP projects and technology assessments.
- Developing and improving designs for waste management facilities and building waste management systems.
- Supporting the wider company on design projects with waste management strategies.
- Assisting in generating and following up on business opportunities in various locations where required by the Division.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 5 years’ work experience partnered with a Bachelor degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering. Knowledge of waste management principles and strategic waste management planning will be a plus.
- Experience in working at governance level in waste management, including policy and strategy development.
- Experience in driving change through strategic assessments and implementation.
- Experience in designing waste management out of buildings through the engineering and design process.
- Understanding and an ability to work in the development of circular economic strategies. Understanding of design stages for buildings and masterplans.
