Description:

We are looking for a Project Governance Analyst for a 12-month contract position, with possible extensions in Calgary, Alberta. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3-5 years experience working in a similar role supporting Project Management Office
  • Basic knowledge of Project Management and Business Analysis principles, methods and techniques
  • Working knowledge of document & information management tools including ServiceNow PPM, Content Server, SharePoint, MS and PowerBI
  • Experience in SAP (S4) in Oil and Gas will be an advantage
  • Strong customer service, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and negotiation skills
  • Analytical, inquisitive, and creative
  • Organized, thorough, proactive, and a quick learner
  • Public speaking, personable, professional

Responsibilities:

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Project Management Office (PMO) Project Governance Analyst, reporting to the Project Governance Lead, plays a critical role within the team. This role enables overall PMO project resources to execute within the PMO Project Delivery Framework and its capabilities (People, Process, Tools.) This includes analysis for process and tool integration/continuous improvements, and tactical operations that drive executional excellence utilizing Governance, Reporting, Risk Management and Project Methodology that underpins successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Supports and promotes understanding of the PMO Project Delivery Framework and PMO methodology, processes, and best practices
  • Governance and Enablement of Project Delivery and alignment to the framework to ensure operational excellence
  • Supports the roadmap for ongoing PMO Project Governance transformational and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Process integration with cross functional groups (ie. Data & IT(D&IT), Organizational Change Mgt.(OCM), Project Controls, etc.)
  • Maintain and improve the various frameworks utilized for Project Delivery
  • Enable a facility for Information Management (eg. document management, data/information management)
  • Maintain and evolve PMO operational portals, ContentServer Folder structure, access provisioning
  • Project Portfolio Management(PPM) system operations and continuous improvement
  • Project Governance reporting with assurance to relevancy, timeliness, and audience appropriate level of detail and presentation
  • Stewardship of the PMO team inbox
  • Communications (internal and external)
  • Onboarding for new resources (eg. Framework, Culture, Operating Model, PPM tool…etc.)
  • Will interface closely with PMO Project Execution/Delivery, OCM, Demand Management, Resource Management for end-to-end framework processes
  • Will interface closely to help communicate changes to the project funding management processes, IT ServiceNow PPM data, etc.
  • Will interface closely with various teams in IT Operations to help communicate changes to the IT Transition to Operations processes, IT Enterprise Architecture, etc.
