Description:
ABOUT THE JOB PROJECT MANAGER / SCRUM MASTER
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Scrum Master Project Manager to join our dynamic team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile methodologies and a passion for fostering collaboration and continuous improvement within teams.
MAIN STACK QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master in a software development environment, with 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks and principles, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.
- Excellent communication skills and a servant leadership mindset, with the ability to guide and motivate teams effectively.
- Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks.
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or an equivalent Agile certification is preferred.
- Experience with Agile techniques such as User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, and Automated Testing is a plus.
- Ability to work with distributed teams and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
- Skilled in conflict resolution, negotiation, and influencing without direct authority.
- Ability to grasp technical issues at a high level, providing valuable input to the team.
- Proficiency with Agile tools like JIRA for tracking and managing workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and ensure the productivity of Scrum events, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning & Review, Backlog Refinement, and Retrospectives, ensuring they are time-boxed and focused.
- Guide the team and organization in the effective use of Agile/Scrum practices and uphold the core values of Scrum.
- Identify and remove impediments or blockers that hinder the team’s progress, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted workflow.
- Coach the team in self-organization, cross-functionality, and continuous improvement to build a high-performing team.
- Foster strong collaboration between team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and shared understanding.
- Maintain and update Agile tracking systems (e.g., JIRA) to provide accurate and transparent reporting of Scrum metrics and team progress.
- Help teams adopt and embrace Agile engineering practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Delivery (CD).
- Educate and support the Product Owner, particularly in refining and managing the product backlog to ensure it aligns with the team’s capacity and project goals.
- Support and report to the Senior Program Manager and Account Manager, ensuring alignment with the overall program goals and account management strategy.
