Description:
Join Our Dynamic Team as a Project Procurement Manager –
We are looking for a Project Procurement Manager who can manage, lead, coordinate and execute procurement work in our projects for our Pulp and Energy Business Line. Main area of responsibilities will be in site related contracting and/or main equipment procurement for capital projects. The position will be located in Tampere, Finland.
In this position you work in close cooperation with several stakeholders, our external global supplier base and internally with Category Management, Project Management, Engineering, Sales and Cost Estimation within Valmet P&E Business Line.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- act as procurement lead in assigned projects and categories.
- define supply strategies and plans for the defined projects
- define and ensure implementation of long-term cost savings
- develop the existing supplier base in cooperation with Category Management
- contract management including contract and business negotiations
- supplier relationship management
- support sales and cost-estimation functions in sales projects with cost-data
Expectations:
To be successful in the position you need to be result oriented and business driven. You understand importance of procurement and your own role in enabling capital project profitability. You will need extensive experience from team leadership and business negotiations. Mill site experience, mill industry product knowledge as well as experience from similar sourcing positions in international business environments is considered advantages.
You have relevant education, preferably engineering or commercial university degrees. You will also be skilled in business analytics in order to run with swift and fact-based decisions. Your personal characteristics include strong communication and intercultural negotiation skills. You have an open and cooperative attitude as well as genuine driving force and desire to make good results for and success within Valmet.
Your English is fluent, both oral and written. System knowledge such as MS office and ERP (LN in Valmet) comes from daily analysis and usage of the same. The position requires some travelling due to cooperation with domestic and international supplier. Position requires earlier experience in procurement of complex wide scale technology projects / capital projects.
