You will work closely with our Commercial Lines Manager Finland and Property and Tech Lines Managers Nordics, to maintain and grow our Property business in Finland and in the Nordics.

You will play a pivotal role in setting and achieving underwriting profit goals, working across various market segments. Your ability to deploy underwriting guidelines, implement controls, and make strategic pricing decisions will be critical to our success in the Nordic market.
Our Helsinki based office is looking to hire a Property Underwriter to become an important member to ensure our growth in Finland. You will work with both major and middle-market segments, but also underwrite different kind of project business in civil construction, renewable energy and other interesting green transition related risks.

As a Property Underwriter, you will be responsible for :

• Contribute to a profitable growth of the Property portfolio
• Assess and underwrite Finnish and Nordic risks and provide clients with insurance solutions
• Process renewals
• Pursue new business opportunities
• Develop market relationships with brokers and clients, existing as well as new ones
• Market our range of products in Finland, but in close cooperation with colleagues in other Nordic countries
• Keep customer files updated and in good order and perform peer reviews
• Handle administrative service and assistance to broker or clients
• Ensure bookings are registered within the required timeframes
• Create good working relationships with the local Property underwriting teams in Stockholm, Gothenburg and in Copenhagen
• You will collaborate closely with colleagues in other business lines, including Claims, Operations, and Finance. By representing and promoting Chubb to brokers, you will increase our market visibility and strengthen relationships

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS :

• Degree in Law, Economics, Engineering or Business administration is a plus
• Preferably you have previous experience from the insurance market with at least 2-3 years alternatively possesses high future potential
• Have a good understanding of financial statements
• Master both English and Finnish, verbal as well as written. Swedish is a plus.
• Knowledge of Finnish and preferably also Nordic insurance market.
• Enjoying negotiations and presenting
• Self-driven, ambitious and proactive
• Ability to handle processes and structures well
• Service minded team player and open to sometimes work outside of regular business hours
• Can-Do attitude and a winning mentality
• Willingness to travel
• Proficient in MS Office tools and the ability to learn for this role relevant applications
