Patton State Hospital Human Resources Department is accepting applications for multiple Permanent, Full-Time appointments to the Psychiatric Technician Assistant classification. The position is for various shifts with various days off to work primarily as medical escort and can be required to work on units to provide direct patient care. The position is under the general supervision of the Assistant Clinical Administrator.
The Candidate should possess motivation to learn, work independently, and have excellent organizational, communication skills and computer knowledge. The candidate must be able to problem solve and prioritize on a continual basis. They must also have the ability to deal with difficult individuals calmly and effectively.
The position(s) require(s) a Drug Screening be passed prior to being hired.

Working Conditions
Patton is a forensic psychiatric hospital and was established in 1890 and opened in 1893. DSH-Patton provides treatment to forensically and civilly committed patients within a secure treatment area. The hospital does not accept voluntary admissions.
