TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent knowledge on SAP Basis, Products (like S/4HANA), SL Tools (SUM, SWPM) and software lifecycle related procedures
  • Knowledge on technical landscape of SAP Cloud offerings including system provisioning and operations
  • Profound OS administration skills for Linux
  • Know-How about at least one database (HANA, Oracle, Sybase, MaxDB, DB2 family or MS SQL) is an asset
  • Knowledge on a scripting language (e.g. Perl, Python, Ruby) and/or ABAP programming skills
  • Strong interest to improve and optimize standard procedures and tasks by automation
  • Experience in Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) (formerly HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC)) and Service Provider Cockpit (SPC) is recommended

Responsibilities:

As Quality and Automation Engineer within our team it is your responsibility to ensure quality of SAPs software lifecycle procedures for all SAP products across on-premise and private cloud deployment models. You will be acting as very first customer installing, updating and upgrading various SAP products across the complete portfolio. You will also be validating technical operations in private cloud landscapes.

Your core tasks will comprise:

  • Understanding and handling of complex tool environments to perform end-to-end software lifecycle and technical operational procedures (Service Provider Cockpit, Solution Manager, Service Marketplace, PPMS, Installation Tools, Upgrade tools …)
  • Testing of installation and update/upgrade/conversion and configuration procedures of SAP software components as the very first customer
  • Testing of technical operations of SAP cloud offerings end-to-end from a customer’s perspective
  • Coordination and communication with testers in a global team setup across 3 locations and development teams SAP wide

While our core competence and responsibility lie with manual execution of software lifecycle tests, we continuously seek for automation to keep our service efficient and competitive. Therefore, we are looking for a colleague who strives for finding errors and tracking down the root cause, but also have an eye for automation potential and is willing to continuously improve our test process and infrastructure.
After a training phase you join a highly motivated team and take care of the validation of several SAP components. You will be involved in the complete lifecycle of multiple products - development phase, shipment and maintenance processes.
