Description:
Quantum Lifecycle Partners LP is Canada’s largest and most important integrated computer asset disposal and recycling processor. We are committed to the safe and secure reuse of electronics, the responsible recycling of electronics to divert waste from landfills and the recovery of natural resources from obsolete electronics.
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician (QAT) to join our team in North Bay, Ontario. In this fast-paced environment, the QAT will be responsible for the quality assurance testing of Depot repaired electronic devices including laptops, desktops, tablets, and other devices. The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written English communication skills, be detail oriented, and possess knowledge of quality assurance principles.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Comprehensive knowledge of computer systems and components.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 software, with proficiency in Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information in a concise and professional manner.
- An aptitude and interest in learning about new hardware, software, and applications.
- A learning-orientation: the ability to take notes, follow instructions, and adapt to changing situations.
- The ability to work cooperatively with colleagues.
- The ability to perform under pressure.
- Previous experience performing quality assurance inspections preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Review physical and digital documentation submitted by Repair Technicians for completeness and accuracy.
- Physically review completed repairs to ensure that all identified issues are effectively addressed by Repair Technicians.
- Perform standard testing on repaired devices to verify all features and components are fully functional and meet quality assurance standards.
- Evaluate the quality of repairs completed by Repair Technicians to ensure adherence to standards and identify areas of improvement.
- Reassign laptops that have failed quality assurance testing to Repair Technicians for further repair, provide detailed feedback to ensure issues are effectively resolved.
- Account for the return of all customer property by taking inventory and ensure items are returned in an appropriate condition.
- Document and record all issues identified during the quality assurance process.
- Address issues identified during the quality assurance process in consultation with Repair Technicians and Customer Service Representatives, as required. Determine and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor and enforce quality standards and procedures for repairs, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance to Repair Technicians on best practices and quality expectations to enhance overall quality of repair work.
- Perform other assigned duties as may be required from time to time.
