Description:

The Quality Control Inspector performs technical and visual inspections towards the reconstitution, preservation and maintenance of all assets. Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and all applicable USAF mandatory requirements. Develops and monitors Quality Control, Safety and Environmental Programs in support of subject area. Perform internal audits to ensure compliance with Company Quality Management System. Ensure audit findings are correct and recommendations for corrective and/or preventive action(s) are appropriate. Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have outstanding customer service and organizational skills and be able to understand, speak, read and write English at an advanced level.
  • Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office to include as a minimum Power Point, Excel and Word programs.
  • Should be capable of producing Analysis Reports and Spreadsheets.
  • Must be familiar with OSHA/AFOSH Standards and Industrial safety practices.
  • Must be conversant with USAF Technical Order and publications system.
  • Ability to interpret and implement procedures for compliance with ISO 9001 Standards is essential.
  • Must possess a valid home country driver’s license and ability to obtain host nation driver’s license.
  • Will be required to operate material handling equipment.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Five years of related maintenance actions required.
  • Physically capable of performing all required duties; capable of lifting/pushing/pulling minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Three years in an inspection role for subject area desired.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspects all repairs, replacement of parts and assemblies, realignments and adjustments. Ensures the completion of maintenance forms such as work orders, parts request sheets and maintenance sheets and trains others in proper documentation procedures.
  • Records data such as hours worked, work performed, parts used and ensures complete and correct completion of work orders.
  • Ensures safety practices and housekeeping are maintained to the highest standard.
  • Checks all repairs to ensure the highest quality repair standards are met.
  • Checks to make sure that only current up-to-date Technical Orders and commercial manuals are used when repairing items.
  • Performs random In-Process and Final Product inspections on all Production, Inspection and Maintenance operations.
  • Randomly reviews production and inspection schedules, work orders and historical orders to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
  • Performs random inspections on tools, shop equipment, safety equipment and protective clothing.
  • Reviews and evaluate work processes and facilities to ensure compliance with ISO 9001.
  • Ensure internal audits are conducted of actual practices against published policies, standards, procedures, regulatory guidance, contract and processes.
  • Ensure audit findings are correct and that recommendations for corrective and/or preventive action(s) are appropriate and conform to Amentum quality standards.
  • Ensure cross-tell is being conducted between shops and sites for non-conformances.
  • Monitors workshop practices and housekeeping to identify discrepancies and negative trends that affect technical performance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Works in normal office and maintenance shop or warehouse environment and may be required to work outdoors for extended periods.
