Description:
The Emergency Department reception is covered 24 hours, 7 days a week with a variety of shifts 06:00-14:00, 08:00-16:00, 11:30-19:30, 14:00-22:00, 16:00-00:00, 17:00-01:00, 22:00-06:00 Cromer Minor Injuries Unit is open 8am -8pm with shifts worked 8am-2pm or 2pm-8pm (6 hours) Description of post: Reception duties, booking in patients in a high demand area, scanning notes onto the IT system To make patients feel welcome and at ease, providing assistance with patient comfort as required. To provide a fast, efficient and accurate clerical support service to medical and nursing staff Maintain an efficient filing system for ED cards Work alongside the existing administration team General admin duties within the department To attend mandatory, in-service and staff development training Requirements: Excellent communication/customer care skills in your capacity as a front-line member of staff. Previous reception experience desirable Keyboard skills essential, PAS training desirable. Team working skills are essential, but also the ability to work using own initiative in a continually changing environment.
