Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a receptionist to join our team, working collaboratively to ensure a wide variety of clerical duties are completed. The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for a wide variety of clerical office duties in support of Band administration. Includes communicating office activities, greeting, and screening visitors, answering, and referring inbound telephone calls.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Formal education or training in office administration or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Strong knowledge of general office procedures.
  • Able to write simple correspondence, including memos.
  • Flexibility to meet changing work needs and demands.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Respond to telephone, e-mail, and in-person inquiries from clients, business partners, and other parties.
  • Keep up to date on all events, information, and be able to answer questions to callers and clients.
  • Refer all inquiries to the appropriate individuals, divisions, or departments across the organization.
  • Take and record telephone, e-mail, or written messages for staff members.
  • Receive various forms of paper correspondence.
  • Provide information to staff and/or clients about special activities.
  • Observe and report any security issues to supervisor.
  • Maintain the reception in a tidy and presentable manner.
  • Accept and monitor inbound shipments as necessary.
  • Presenting a positive professional image of the organization to all visitors, suppliers, inquiries, and other interactions.
  • Establishing proactive, positive, and constructive working relationships with employees and thecommunity.
  • Collaborating with other reception team members and teams.
  • Participating in meetings as required.

OTHER DUTIES

  • Additional responsibilities as needed to support the community and uphold our shared values.
  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned by your Manager, Director, Chief Administrative Officer, or Chief & Council.
