Description:

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

The Wide Bay Burnett (WBB) region is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Regional Resource Recovery Coordinator to join our team. This role will be pivotal in driving the regional response and implementation of the WBB Regional Waste Management and Resource Recovery Plan (the Plan). The coordinator will work collaboratively with all member Councils of the WBB region, the WBB Resource Recovery Working Group (WBBRRWG), the WBB Resource Recovery Steering Group (WBBRRSG), and other relevant stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include leading the implementation of the Plan, improving the economics of resource recovery within the region, encouraging economic development in alignment with State targets, and enhancing environmental and social outcomes for the WBB region. The successful candidate will develop implementation plans, business cases and assist with the procurement and project management of regional plan initiatives. The position is allocated at the Fraser Coast Regional Council and the home office with be in Maryborough, with the regular travel to the WBB member councils.
