  • A minimum of 1 year of RN experience is required, with IV RN experience strongly preferred
  • An Associates Degree in Nursing, BSN, or MSN is required.

  • Establish and maintain positive, caring relationships with patients and their families, executives, managers, physicians, non-physician providers, ancillary and support staff, and other departments.

  • Think critically to analyze and problem-solve to deliver the best patient care. Use sound clinical judgment and problem-solving to deliver quality patient care when it matters most.

  • Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning of patients.

The UPMC Presbyterian IV Therapy Team specializes in a variety of IV services including IV starts, PICC and midline placement, duo-tube placement, TPA administration, chemotherapy administration, dressing changes, and blood culture draws. The IV Therapy Team is a perfect fit for nurses who are energized by intense collaboration with colleagues; we receive a very high volume of patients and teamwork is extremely important to ensure that the needs of the hospital are met on a timely basis. We look out for each other, hold each other accountable, and most of all help each other to get the job done
