Getting Advice/Getting Help Contact Point Hull & East Riding is a Thrive approach to our single point of access. The team are experienced registered professionals across Nursing , Social Care and Psychological Therapies. Offering consultation, signposting , self help and identify the right needs led service , ensuring CYP’s and families get the right support. Referrals come from parents and carers any professional working with children and young people and young people themselves over the age of 16 years.
Are you a registered professional , do you have experience of working with CYP’s and families and have excellent communication skills , the ability to engage with people in times of need using different methods of communication such as telephone and video if the answer is yes then we would welcome your application.
Offer advice, guidance, self-help and signposting around emotional and mental health needs for cyp’s and families that have been referred into Hull & East Riding contact point Getting Advice/Getting Help.
Offer advice and guidance to Parents carers and professionals around emotional and mental health needs.
Deliver needs led triages to assess needs, safeguarding and clinical risk, understand and formulate and refer on to the appropriate needs led services.
Deliver needs led enhanced triages when required to understand needs and presentations and formulate what is required to meet that need and refer on.
Work as a collaborative part of Getting Advice /Getting Help across the system and contact with Getting More Help/Getting Risk support services when a CYP and Families needs require this.

To be part of a dedicated team of registered practitioners delivering advice, guidance, triages and advanced triages as part of a I-Thrive contact point model. Contact point is a single point of access for emotional wellbeing and mental health services across Hull & East Riding. Services that the team refer onto include Voluntary and Community Services, Local authority, Health, Education, Early Intervention and Children and Young Peoples Mental Health Services.
Getting Advice/Getting Help contact point works in partnership with Getting More Help/Getting Risk Support Contact point and the wider Early Intervention Teams within Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust. This is to ensure the team is integrated within the wider offer to work in partnership and collaboratively understand what our local young people and their family’s needs are. This is to ensure we can capture themes across the area and work with partners with the system to deliver non referral led support and training as part of prevention and Thriving initiatives.
Getting Advice/ Getting Help will ensure CYP’s and families experience a person centred, trauma informed approach at first contact. To understand needs, offer advice , self-help , self-help and refer on when needed to intervention and support services.
The Team will offer the above services via telephone, videocall or face to face to facilitate choice ensuring CYP’s and families feel they are being seen, heard and supported.
